An open two story volume entrance
PHX Architecture took a very needy building and transformed it into a beautiful venue for use by Scottsdale Area Association of Realtors.
IDS used a very large 24" x 48" format porcelain tile distributed by Kaiser Tile in Arizona. We used two colors, changed direction and separated the tiles with a flat brushed stainless steel plate. It creates a sense of movement and energy a large space such as this pre function area deserves.
This will be one bustling place. Serving coffee, cokes and sett rolls, this will be the place for a quick break or casual meeting. It's adjacent to the patio.
The contrast of sleek contemporary finishes with the rough hewn oversized planks for the reception desk is a striking statement. The planks for this desk were hand picked from Porter Hardwoods.
With meeting rooms on either side of this large pre function area, Venue 8600 as the space is known is perfect for your next corporate event.
Canyon Design Element
The second direction from PHX Architecture was to implement a "canyon" feel to the space. Our interpretation came to fruition in the form of these inset benches. Walnut wood slats snuggle within the inset area and curve upward to create the ceiling canopy. We used Spinneybeck Aqua healthcare leather pads for aesthetics and performance.

Elegance in simplicity
This large conference room is designed with the latest technology. LED lighting was used to provide energy efficiency and aesthetics.
The Bird's Nest pattern was repeated on the patio floor. Beauty, comfort and performance were the criteria for this space.
Iconic Design Studio used both colors of porcelain tile for the stairs. As seen the lighter color was used for the treads and the risers were cut from the darker color. It makes for a great look.
Spacious, bright, and clean, this space is designed perfectly for large or small meeting or event.
Open Office Space
IDS specified the furniture for this office area, pre function and meeting rooms, as well as the cafe. CIS (Corporate Interior Systems) was the furniture vendor. They did a wonderful job of checking all details in ensuring delivery would take place as requested.
Bird's Nest Ceiling Treatment
Iconic Design Studio was directed by the architect - PHXarch to visualize two elements - A fretwork design element with fretwork or "brid's nest" feel. This ceiling treatment is one of those examples.
Tandus Carpet Tile
This tile gave us great styling and color while offering enough movement for interest and to provide some protection from soiling.
Rendering for early design decisions
IDS can create some beautiful lifelike renderings.
4' x 4' Ceiling Tiles
Four foot x four foot ceiling tiles, while not that much more expensive, sure do make a huge difference in the overlook of the meeting rooms.
The leftovers from the wood composite product used on the front of the cafe bar. were introduced for the building signage. It made for a wonderful transition.
Clean and Sleek
Porcelain tile, 12 x 24 was specified and distributed by Arizona Tile called Fibre' in two colors.
